A French Country Garden Bridal Shower in British Columbia

Rustic meets chic at the Little White House in Fort Langley, Canada, for this garden bridal shower with a Parisian twist. The intimate cafe vibe mixes high and low with rough barnwood walls contrasting the sparkling chandeliers. Gorgeous florals by Alice at Floralista added an simple freshness to the space. Bride Paula entered through the secret garden in back to find her friends and family gathered for her tea luncheon, beautifully captured by photographer Mikaela Ruth.

An Adventure Awaits Travel Bridal Shower

One of the defining moments in my relationship with my boyfriend, Andrew, was a trip we took to Iceland after only a few months of dating. From exploring glaciers and hiking by waterfalls to almost stranding our rental car on the black sand beach, the adventure brought us close together. So when I saw this Adventure Awaits travel bridal shower captured by photographer and the bride’s future sister-in-law Aly Carroll, I was immediately smitten. Bride Natalie’s bridesmaids and family rummaged through their houses for vintage suitcases, cameras and globes to set the world-traveling mood. Each table centerpiece included a tag marking a milestone or special memory in the couple’s relationship, from their first date to running a triathlon together in Lima, Peru. Guests enjoyed a yogurt and treat bar complete with berry baskets and a nude cake from The Bake Shoppe (love this trend, by the way—down with fondant!). Even the games had an international theme, as guests were challenged to translate different words and phrases based on the theme of “love.” Me encanta!

A Winter in Florida Bridal Shower

As a one-time Floridian, I can tell you that “Florida winter” is an oxymoron—so I’m not surprised that Alaskan bride Katie returned to her family home in the Sunshine State for a winter bridal shower. Photographer Elise Giordano, who became friends with Katie during a summer up north, perfectly captures the fun of the day in snaps of the guests enjoying drinks and sharing memories on the sun-drenched porch. Little nods to Katie’s career as a journalist for The Skagway News can be found in details like the bunting banner made of book pages. I love the personal, thoughtful touches added to every aspect of the party, from the thumbprint balloons stamped on the whimsical bicycle illustration (such a unique guest book!) to the petal blue cake with perfect peach rosettes created by a family friend (I can’t believe cake decorating is just her hobby!).

A Kitschy-Cute 50s Housewife Bridal Shower

Some things just make you smile. Like grilled cheese…from a food truck…in your backyard. Which happened at this kitschy-cute 50s housewife bridal shower in sunny Miami, Florida. MOH Jessica chose shades of tiffany blue and rose red to tie the retro chic theme together, from the stunning cake display by Sugar Me Knot to the checkered aprons given out as shower game prizes. Guests enjoyed nostalgic treats at the candy bar before ordering up custom grilled cheese sandwiches from the Ms. Cheezious food truck. Bride Melissa is positively glowing in these snaps captured by bridesmaid Amanda from Lovely Bee Creative.

An Orange and Aqua Backyard Bridal Shower

Two creative bridesmaids turned the DIY factor up to 10 to put together this handcrafted backyard shower in sunny California, beautifully captured by Alex Rapada Photography. Almost every element was handmade, from the Chinese buffet to custom “He” and “She” signs at each table. Fluffy white china mums and sunset-orange roses pop in the hand-painted aqua Mason jars and set off the delicate lace tablecloths. And I’d take a scrapbook and a shower gift over a blender any day—it’s such a thoughtful keepsake that will last a lifetime. Each guest left with fortune cookies dipped in chocolate and coated in sprinkles—such a cute modern twist!

A Southern Country Couples Shower

As a woman who spent her college years in the South, my idea of a great party still hinges on backyard BBQ and lawn games (please also have biscuits). So I have been dying to showcase a wedding shower with a bit of Southern charm and country flair and I at last found the one: this Tennessee couples shower photographed by Sara Tallent. Taylor and Kate celebrated with an evening of trick roping, mechanical bull riding and a savory summer BBQ with plenty of iced tea to wash it down. Cheerful sunflowers, burlap sacks and antique cans transformed into planters added charm and color to the decor. And have you seen the wooden moose head? Please send him to me! When night fell, Sara snapped the most stunning sparkler pictures I think I have ever seen—you will simply LOVE them! (Plus, Sara’s tutorial on how to take sparkler pictures like these yourself!)

A White and Peach Zen Bridal Shower

This zen bridal shower from JKB Young Photography is such a breath of fresh air! From the delicate origami butterfly garland to the pastel peach cotton candy, everything about this shower is serene and sweet—a perfect antidote to the stress of wedding planning! Guests enjoyed mango sushi bites, thai coconut tomato soup, smoked salmon and apricot mocktails before indulging in whimsical desserts. And bride Clara just looks so confident, beautiful and empowered in her yoga poses. The soft color palette and zen decor create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and serenity—an ideal setting for the bride to recharge with the women in her life before her big day.A White and Peach Zen Bridal Shower | Ultimate Bridesmaid | JKB Young Photography
