I truly feel like I’ve fallen down a rabbit hole into this magical Wonderland bridal shower with a lot of 70s swing. Can I move in to this fabulous Scottsdale, Arizona, estate? I will settle for a chair by the pool with my name on it! Bride Elizabeth has her own clothing line, Revolution Rags, which donates ten percent of its profits to animal rescue (stylish and compassionate!). Elizabeth’s friends added touches of whimsy to the already out-of-this-world back garden by dotting the lush hedge with oversized playing cards and creating a photo backdrop with neon carnations. Guests enjoyed a gourmet lunch along with a stocked poolside bubbly bar and photographer Paul Yerrick was there to capture all the magic (both digitally and on film!).

A Midcentury Modern Garden Party Shower
The lush garden setting of Houston’s 5226 Elm was the perfect location for this garden party shower, with the industrial green walls serving as a bold backdrop to the stunning garden. The guests channeled a midcentury modern vibe with sun hats and headscarves as they sipped hibiscus margaritas and enjoyed a few sweet treats. With a bar cart stocked with fresh flowers, the ladies went to work to create bouquets that reflected their own personal style. This relaxed, sunshine-filled fete captured by Ashley Eubanks Photography has us longing for warmer days on the way.

A Pastel Garden Boudoir Bridal Shower
A little bit boudoir, a little bit garden party, this bridal shower is all-the-way stunning. The bride and her maids took an afternoon to relax on the beautiful grounds of The Condor’s Nest in Southern California. Though brides choose to do boudoir sessions for a lot of different reasons, the idea behind this party was very much about being comfortable and relaxed with your best friends. All the girls wore soft pastel tulle skirts, comfy cotton corsets and delicate flower crowns. The ladies gathered in the greenhouse for macaroons and champagne, which they then took out to the pool’s tiki bar for some time in the sun.

A Sweet Strawberries and Champagne Garden Bridal Brunch
This garden bridal brunch inspiration shoot perfectly demonstrates something I firmly believe: Beautiful does not have to equal expensive. Simple touches like a vase of tulips and sweet strawberries to top the champagne glasses add pops of red to tie the rustic decor together and accent the natural beauty of this inviting Georgia garden. Plus, you’ll never believe where that gorgeous cake is from…the Publix bakery! Well, the inside is at least. “We scraped off the original icing decorations and used a spatula (and a little warm water) to rough up the way-too-perfect grocery store look,” says photographer Lydia of Mintwood Photo Co. “Add a few sprigs of rosemary and sliced lemons to the top and ta-da!”

A Greenhouse Garden Bridal Shower in Nantucket
This gorgeous styled shoot at a Nantucket farm first caught my eye when I saw the greenhouse decked out in crystal chandeliers and paper umbrellas—a perfectly eclectic mix of industrial and antique. The color palette of deep plum, forest green and sparkling gold is a little bit regal and totally chic, running through the invitations, florals and fashion (loving every one of these flowy dresses). And let’s be real: Who doesn’t want a wedding waffle (in adorable heart shapes!)? Thanks to photographer Brea McDonald for sharing this stunning shoot!

A Backyard Garden Bridal Shower
I’m so excited to share this beautiful backyard shower, complete with vibrant greens, pastel blues and plenty of chalkboard paint. I especially love the idea of personal photos with each bridesmaid commemorating the year you met! And I’m super-impressed with the newspaper bridal gowns. All of the bridesmaids pitched in to help pull off this DIY garden shower for bride PT, with plenty of personal touches—even a batch of adorable fondant pups.
Bridesmaid Kathy describes some of the preparation, much of which included finding creative ways to use thrifted pieces or items they already had on hand. (Kathy is also behind the amazing desserts!)
The bride and I drove around to various thrift stores and bought vintage frames to paint and turn into chalkboards days before the shower. She had the idea to add chalkboard frames to the disposable cups too, so that guests could write their names on them—luckily I even had cups available from a previous party. The cake stands for the dessert table were also thrifted. Another bridesmaid, Grace, provided flowers that were leftover from a friend’s wedding from the night before. I used those to fill my milk and sugar jar (also thrifted). PT had wanted a dog-themed cake and I thought, why not have her own dogs, Belly and BamBam, on it? Shih Tzu’s are not easy to sculpt from fondant! I also added sugar flowers to the cake since the theme of the shower was a backyard/garden style. Her wedding theme color was Tiffany blue, so I added a fondant bow in that color as well as in the trimming for the cake.
