For bride Alyssa’s bohemian bridal shower, her friends transformed a shady backyard into an idyllic retreat, complete with a teepee hideaway. Guests picnicked on the lawn, enjoying fresh summer salads and a naked cake bursting with berries and cream. The simple photo booth DIY came together by draping neutral ribbons from a clothesline—add a handy Fujifilm Instax camera and you’re set! As an extra-special touch, all of the guests dressed in neutral shades ranging from white and taupe to soft pinks and greens, which resulted in some stunning group pictures that make this look like the most sophisticated garden party ever. While Alyssa is usually the photographer in the group (see her work here at Alyssa Wilcox Photography), her sister stepped in to capture the special moments of the day.

A Roses and Mimosas Bridal Shower Brunch
For this relaxed and airy bridal shower brunch, bride Selma’s friends and family decorated the white party tent with plenty of roses and pictures of her and her groom-to-be, a personal touch that I just love. And can we talk about Selma’s modern floor-length lace gown? I’d wear it as my wedding dress it’s so gorgeous! Selma’s friends even wore floral dresses to complete the garden theme. After mimosas and macarons, everyone took a turn with the bride in a sweet DIY photo booth while Alisha Maria Photography snapped away.
A Sweet Garden Bridal Shower
The world outside my window is so green right now, so this springtime garden bridal shower felt perfect to share. For this brunch bridal shower, Catalina’s bridesmaids set up a gorgeous mimosa bar and rolled up their sleeves to DIY all the flowers, including the adorable succulents each guest received as a party favor. Cute little donuts made for the perfect sweet spread, and guests played a few low-key bridal shower games, like sharing date ideas (to help keep romance alive!) or guessing the number of corks in a vase to win a prize. Thanks to Kathryn Hyslop Photography for sharing!

A Sparkling Greenhouse Bridal Shower
Bride Danielle is a wedding planner by trade, but she was completely surprised by this greenhouse bridal shower, planned by her mother, bridesmaids and mother-in-law. Her creative and talented friends crafted almost every detail by hand, from the carnation garland behind the dessert table to the custom coasters to the cake pops and cupcakes dotting the dessert table! The light and bright conservatory of the Madison Hotel made for a perfect setting, with sparkling crystal chandeliers and hanging greenery creating a secret garden vibe. We love the wine bottle wishing well, where guests brought a bottle of wine for the couple, as well as the honeymoon gift board sharing adventures awaiting the couple, like a two-day elephant trek!

A Southern Charm Bridal Shower North of the Mason-Dixon
It may seem as though this bridal shower was set in Charleston—and that’s exactly what the hosts wanted you to think! A stunning private residence in Pennsylvania was transformed into a Southern garden party set in the Holy City, complete with plenty of sun hats and bright Lily Pulitzer dresses. Bride Caitlin and groom Jake got some outfit assistance from Trousseau Style, a wardrobe stylist who outfits couples for all the wedding events, from the bridal shower to the rehearsal dinner. (As a bride-to-be, I can tell you that finding like seven white outfits and all the accompanying accessories can be super stressful—this seems like a great service!) Caitlin and Jake took a few minutes to capture some stunning portraits with photographer Brittani Elizabeth before joining their guests for a glass of rosé in the sun.

A Peony Perfection Bohemian Bridal Shower
Kori and Sam’s bridal shower took full advantage of a glorious garden setting where the peonies were in full bloom. Guests were encouraged to wander through the gardens and keep an eye out for hidden raffle tickets that could be used to win gift baskets. As Kori is a partner at Styled For Love event design studio, a flower crown station was the perfect activity for this artistic bride. The guests’ flowing floral ensembles, flower crowns and the pillow lounge seating area gave this event a bohemian flair. Photographer Chelo Keys beautifully captured the joy shining out from this couple as their family and friends came together to celebrate their love.

A French Country Tea Party Shower
A well-done party theme has the power to transport you, say, from the streets of Toronto to the French countryside. And this chic styled shoot is the perfect example, as a group of talented vendors created the feeling of wandering through the flower and antique markets in Paris. The keys to this effect are the abundance of spring blooms and the thoughtfully selected vintage pieces that add character and charm to the space. Soft seasonal colors take center stage with bouquets of tulips, hydrangea and garden roses spilling out of silver urns and an amazing orchid display filling a wrought-iron birdcage. The showstopping floral work on the cake seamlessly blends into the garden setting—the petals practically look real!
